Meet Bridget Rose Fitzgerald. At 15 years old, she came, alone, from Ireland to America. Bridget tells her own story of leaving the farm, her steamship crossing, passage through Ellis Island, her work in a sweatshop in Manhattan's lower east side and her decision to become an American citizen. The New American is an interactive live presentation in which an Actor and video bring to life the era of America's largest tide of immigration.
